This is my May Layout for Scrap the Girls.

scrap a Layout of a woman that inspires you with at least 20 words of hand-written

journalling.

I chose my Mum.

and used the april Storyboard kit.

Yes, living in our house with 4 kids between 6 and 10 years of age

we will never be anything but loud and so often wrong in all the right ways!

 A Red bow = 1 pt

A Journaling Note = 2 pts

              Add names to the peoples pics that you love = 3 pts

May challenge at Butterfly Crafts

In March I won the challenge at Butterfly crafts and was asked to be Guest Designer for their May Challenge. Yay!!!!!

So here is my sample for the May challenge at Butterfly Crafts. I was inspired by the pink, yellow and black in the picture and I also tried to mimick the shape of the girls head piece with the masked hearts.

may 123 challenge

123 challenge this month is the word Fun, fire engine red and a

stitched title.

So this is my stitched title, machine stitching over and around these OA

Alpha stickers.

Most of the red colour i incorporrated by using another

crafters workshop template and some texture paste mixed with...

red paint of course!  I saw this technique on a

Donna Downey video using the same mask.

i love the effect. I probably put too much on, lol,

it's very thick in places!

but i love how it turned out!

i used some OA 5 & dime PP's, a wicked princess button and some

of Charms Creations buttons (perfect match with the colour).

And finished it off with a machine stitched boarder.

this is my May KIU challenge layout.

the challenge is to use no patterned papers.

So i've used some bo bunny sticker strips and studio calico fabrips.

The masked numbers is a Crafters workshop template i got recently.

i've used two slightly different photo's and

aligned them to make it look like one photo,

Of my DS building teeny little sandcastles

at the beach.

almost forgot...

This week was my eldest neices 21st Birthday (no that's not what i forgot, lol).

I almost forgot to share here on my blog the gift i made for her.

 Here are some close-ups first.

I used Kaisercraft stamps and stamped with paint to make the flowers.

For the grass i used a crafters workshop template and ink and then embossed over

the top.

the sun is texture paste and a tim holtz mask

And lots of Rub-ons. If i've gained nothing else from taking Christy Tomlinsons

She Art workshop, its finally using up the rather large collection of

rub-ons that have sat unused for too long.

WW1-may challenge a Savvy challenge

this is my may LO for the WW1 challenge.

the colour to use with white this month was orange +  the technique-scallops

i used some lace with a scalloped edge and some more scallops under the photo.

a close up of the scallops i made with a circle punch and then ran through

the cuttlebug in an embossing folder.

and this LO is the Savvy word challenge for May.

i made a scene with patterned papers.

masked some clouds in the sky then stamped with

bubble wrap inside each cloud.

more patterned papers for the grass and the word

to use was BOY (i added a z -hope that's ok)

i also used this iron-on Prima tree-gosh they take forever to iron on!!
